I hope you are having a nice January so far, on the weather front, we've had a mild January with very little snow, but we did get a bunch of rain on Wednesday.  It was the kind of rain that makes me grumble and say, "too bad this isn't snow, snow is less wet."

This month I'm working on cleaning drawers, cabinets, and closets. I highly recommend spending a little time when you can go through the stuff you own to see what you want to keep and what you can get rid of, when you free up space it feels so good!  Speaking of that I need to update my Bookish resolutions to include reading one or two books off my bookshelf each month and then giving away those books. I have quite a few books on my bookshelf that are watching me download ebook after ebook while they collect dust!

How about you? Do you have a lot of physical books?

And here are books I'll be talking about this week-

This is the second book I'm reading for #SIAM!

We had a lot of snow this week, and I can say that at least you don't have to shovel rain. LOL. But, the snow is pretty. I hope you have a great week.

You are near the end with the Jim Butcher books. There is the new novella The Law which is oddly in KU. I try to read things I own each month, but that is nearly all digital. My print books are favorites or autographed books which I have read all of them. But also reference books like cookbooks, knitting or quilting or sewing ones which I won't get rid of probably. I cut my cookbooks from 600 to 150 before I moved to NC. Great goal!

Yeah I really need to work on some physical books this year as well. I read one already this month and working on another right now - but I have a similar problem, downloading books from my library all the time while my books I've purchased sit unread on the book shelf! It really does feel so good to clean out - books or otherwise. I went through Dante's toys and did a big clean up earlier this month (or was it late December?) and finally donated them this week. Feels great!

Have a good week!

I'd much rather have snow than rain in the winter. (Even if it does need to be shoveled.) But we have had a warmer-than-usual January so far, too.

Good luck with your decluttering, of books and of general stuff! I have a lot of physical books, so yes, I need to prune them down to just the ones I love. (Although that will still be a lot of books.) And I have two bookcases of unread physical books, collected over the years. I'm going to prune some of those, too, since I know there are some I'm just not going to get around to reading. Good luck with your decluttering, of books and stuff!

Have a great week!

One of my goals for 2023 is to try and read one physical book per week to try and clean off my shelves. I have only read 2 so far this year, but am on the third. I have a week to finish it and read another to stay on track. I agree decluttering is a good feeling.
