It Was Supposed to Just Be a Christmas Book...

Love and the Three of Cups was supposed to be my Christmas book, but then I found myself spending time with my characters as they fell in love through the fall. So this book has all the holiday goodness from Halloween to Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving and right on up to Christmas Eve.

Hannah's crush on Kate was one-sided…until tonight.

Hannah has never been happier. With her ex in the rearview mirror for two years now, she’d settled into life in Marley Creek—home to her long-time crush. She’s ready to make a bold move when she’s invited to a party at the striking blonde’s pet bakery.

Kate’s successful business is on the brink of something huge. Then, the drop-dead gorgeous redheaded Hannah kisses her, and Kate questions her no-relationships rule.

Hannah’s life is on standby waiting for Kate’s texts. So, when Kate doesn’t invite her to a meaningful event, Hannah must decide if she is going to walk away or fight for her. Kate is falling for Hannah, but will fear from a past experience keep her from committing?

When Hannah’s ex threatens to destroy her new life, will this couple let the past tear them apart, or will Hannah and Kate fight for a fresh start together?

If you’re looking for a steamy, sapphic small-town romance full of holiday vibes, age gap, and found family,
Love and the Three of Cups is perfect for you!

As always my cover was made by a human and my book was written by me, a human and edited by a couple of humans.

Hockey Romance! Face Offs & Fresh Starts by Ashley Malinowski

Stryker Fisher has always been the one who holds the line—both on the ice and off—the captain his team relies on, the brother who holds it all together when life checks you from behind. But when tragedy strikes his family, even he can’t keep everything from falling apart. The only unexpected constant in the chaos? Willow Donovan. A nurse who refuses to leave. A quiet, steady presence in the middle of a mess. A stranger who somehow understands the weight he refuses to put down. She was never supposed to become part of his world. But one conversation turns into late-night check-ins. Check-ins turn into something deeper. And before long, Willow isn’t just a memory from a hard night—she’s the one person Stryker can’t seem to let go of. There’s just one problem. Loyalty runs deep in the Fisher family, and Stryker isn’t sure he’s allowed to move forward while his twin brother is still learning how to live again. And Willow isn’t sure she belongs in a life shaped by grief, fame, and expectations she never asked for. But when friendship begins to blur into something more, they’re forced to face the truth: Some risks are worth taking. Some love is worth the wait. Because sometimes the hardest faceoff… is choosing between fear and the life you could have. Faceoffs & Fresh Starts is the second book in the Silverwood Snipers series. I'm extra relaxed today because there is no school tomorrow. Yay! My only 'must-do' tomorrow is go get accupuncture done. That involves lying down in a dark room for 20 minutes after the little needles are placed so it's very relaxing.

Do you love holiday reading?  I do and that is part of why I'm dong the Ho-Ho-Ho-RAT again this year!

I splurged and ordered the hardback copy of Leslie Meier latest Lucy Stone book and I'm saving it to kick off the read-a-thon!

Do you have anything on your TBR you are saving to read?

The Bourbon Bet by DK Marie

A bookstore. A bet. A love that could cost them everything.

Rosalia:
I need sixty days.

That's how long I have to save my bookstore and my father's home before all my dreams go into foreclosure. When a powerful man offers me a devil's bargain, every instinct screams to walk, no run, away. But desperation makes cowards of us all. Make Sebastian fall for me, steal his business secrets at their derby party, and keep my store. Refuse, and lose everything.

The plan was simple. But I never bet on falling for him. Or how the truth would ruin me.

Sebastain:
This isn't about love.

It's a bet, a way to finally cut my brother loose. Rosalia is the bait. Sweet. Sharp. Sent to play me. And I let her. Because I want to believe she's different. I'm betting on it. And when she moans my name like it's real, I almost believe her.

In bourbon country, family betrayals go down smoother than aged whiskey. With the Derby clock ticking and their hearts tangled in lies and desire, when the truth finally spills, can love survive the burn?

I think that prices on everything to keep going up because of the Iran War (a war that should never have been started) so I'm trying to get the best deals possible on holiday gifts as early as possible. This year I am hoping to have everything in place to wrap presents while watching Hallmark movies in October.

Do you shop early for the holidays? If I get done with the shopping and the wrapping early, I'll have more time to read Chistmas themed books like this one:
