Valentine's Day is this week. The usual suspects will complain that it is a Hallmark holiday. It's not. It's older than Hallmark, and it's in the general vicinity of Imbolc and St. Brigid's Day. Part of the reason for Valentine's Day is just to give us all a reason to have a little fun in the cold, grey days of winter.
Treat yourself—even if you have loved ones that will shower you with gifts—2026 is a real heck of a year; we need all the love (and self-love we can find!)

Happy Valentine's Day Victoria. I think we need to make space to enjoy things and give kindness to others in these grim times.

That's a great view, even if not the photo didn't come out the way you were hoping it would. The sky is so pretty. I just realized I have a book club meeting on Valentine's Day. I may have to skip it if we decide to do something as a family--and if I am feeling up to it. We don't usually do much for the holiday, but we find a small ways to recognize it. I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day and a good week. Take care, Victoria.
Happy Valentine's Day. 🤗 I love Valentine's Day! It's the perfect opportunity to show friends and family you appreciate them. I bake cookies and sometimes, cupcakes, for my valentines. 😊
Have a wonderful new week. 🌞
We do all need to capture happiness and show kindness where we can get it in these times! The sunset does look nice. Have a wonderful week!
