The temperatures in my neck of the woods have been downright tolerable lately.  I often say that if you want to visit Chicago, September is the best weather time of year to do it. I forget each year that it's also ragweed season and that I am allergic to ragweed. This weekend I've been playing the is it a cold or allergies? I have all the miserable allergy symptoms: itchy eyes, itchy ears, runny nose., sneezing frequently, sinus congestion, and worst of all, the dreaded itchy throat. I slacked off earlier this week and didn't take my daily allergy pill for several days. I guess now I am paying the price. I used to be able to take Benadryl for allergies but now I can't take it. It causes me to have restless legs and that is even worse than allergy symptoms. Okay enough of me! Do you have allergies?

This weekend I finished reading Haunted To Death by Frank Anthony Polito. I am about halfway through reading Payback is a Witch by Lana Harper (physical book), I have three hours left of One of Us Knows by Alyssa Cole on audio, and I"'m ten percent into Divorce Towers on Kindle. Divorce Towers was an Amazon First Reads.

This is my 996th blog post. With only a few posts to go, I'll hit 1,000 posts! That's wild! I didn't imagine that when I started this blog way back when!

Wow, 1000 posts! That's awesome! I wonder how many I've done now that you say that. I love Chicago! I really was thinking about going to see the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child show, but for now can't afford it. I do need to get up there again soon to visit. Hope you have a good week, you've got some books I need to check out as well! Thanks for visiting me earlier!

1000 posts is amazing! I have no idea where I am at but now I want to check! I haven’t been to Chicago but I would certainly like to visit - in September. I take Flonase for a chronic post-nasal drip from allergies and it is helpful but certainly not 100% efficient. Have a great week!

Yes, I get allergies too. I end up with a very loud non-stop cough. It seems to get worse when it rains around here. Your books look really good. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great week and feel better.

I have a lot of allergies, including seasonal allergies, they are not very fun. The cooler weather is great, though. Congrats on almost reaching 1000 posts! I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog.

I never had problems with allergies before we started traveling all the time. Now I need Flonase a few weeks every year. I've been playing the "cold or allergies" game the past couple of weeks too. Luckily my covid test was negative. I'm either pushing through it or the allergy meds are helping (I've never found any cold meds that I can tolerate). I hope you get over your ailment soon!

My allergies have been bothering me a lot lately too and the smoke from all the fires isn't helping either. I feel worse for my husband though. He has asthma and this smoke has been wrecking havoc on his lungs. Haunted to Death and Payback's a Witch both sound like my kind of reads. I hope you have a great week and are feeling better soon!
